I love ear cuffs, and saw some beautiful ones in Camden when I visited last year, but never got the chance to buy one. Looking in Topshop, I also found some beauties. The tarnished gold ones below, were a Christmas present from my friend Amy - and the other is from eBay.

I wanted something a bit plained, something nice and small, and saw the two cross detail ones (with the blue background below) on eBay and thought it would be a great opportunity to buy the set, and give one away on here! I know it's not the best giveaway, or the most exciting, but I wear mine literally every day, and the postage from Hong-Kong is 28 days... so will also save you LOTS of time! Also a great alternative to a new piercing.

Before all of the pretty (yet horrible) snow thats covered the UK this weekend, I managed to get my first proper charity shop haul done. It wasn't intentional, I was on the bus home and spotted this beauty from the bus, & luckily got off at the right time! It's by a brand I've never heard of (and can't properly read either), but it's from New York. It has a strong black leather strap with an adjustable buckle, and some amazing pocket space on the inside! And it cost me just £1. Yep. And look at the very, very similar ones above! I'm not entirely certain but i'm 99% sure this is vintage, and great quality vintage at that.

The perfect size bag for college, enough to fit a good book or two in! I also managed to pick up this beauty:

Now, I'm not a massive fan of using photos of myself on my blog, but the photos just didn't do the dress justice on a hanger. Also, I apologise for the awful lighting, I had to edit the photos lots to get them to remotely look okay, which has resulted in the dress looking blue, and me with a slight alien-like glow... It's not, it's black velvet, and I'm not an alien. It has a gorgeous, gold polka-dot silk bottom and bust trim, with matching buttons. Really comfy too, with the zip back and elasticated waist. The halter neck is detachable, but I thought it looked better up. It was really lovely actually, the woman who was on the tills & runs the shop explained that the lady who brought it in (that same day), explained that it was hers a good 30 or 40 years ago. I love it when amazing little finds have a nice story behind them. The dress, vintage, £3.

Got some amazing bargains from Topshop today! I have most of Friday off, so finally went and got my hair cut, and my eyebrows threaded, I'll post a picture of what they look like soon! Definitely recommend it though.

I've been lusting after a lot of things on the Topshop final cut sale online, but couldn't justify buying any of it. I usually just shop in the regular Topshop, but I walked past Debhanams today and completely forgot there was a Topshop concession in there! The sale was a-mazing. 10x better than what was online, and 1000x better than what's in the regular shop. I think most people forget about it.. and all the die-hard Topshoppers just shop in the normal shop...

£75.50 of jewellery for £10.50. Not bad, I guess ;)

It REALLY makes you wonder why anyone pays full price for anything, doesn't it? I know I'm never buying any jewellery from Topshop again full price.

Plus, if you take your student card (sixth form/college bus passes work too!) you get an extra 10% off sale items aswell as regular priced items too! Hurrah!

All rather McQueen inspired. Even better.

Just a very quick one! Sorry for the lack of posts recently, doing art graphics AND photography at A2 is absolutely killer. Deadlines are tomorrow! Got a lot to get doing tonight, which is probably why I should stop looking around on look.co.uk on my '5 minute break' (it's turned into at least an hour and half), but I just saw this and it's too good not to share. Guess which S/S12 collection this is from?

Primark. Seriously. LOOK AT THOSE WEDGES. Primark. PRIMARK?! Can't wait to get back shopping again.

Sorry for the very random post, but I've got a feeling some of you arty people may like this! I'm not sure if you anybody has heard of voucher sharing website Groupon (you should definitely subscribe to them, you get cool deals from businesses in your area, like hairdressing, beauty treatments etc). I've ordered one for a spray tan before but never actually used it because I chickened out, but I saw this one for these amazing wall stickers. They're from Moskys, and it cost me £9 (as I got the voucher), but full price is £23.99. When it arrived, it came in about 50 pieces, and I was terrified about how to put it together... but I was really pleased with the results!

It's quite cool because you can completely arrange it how you'd like, but I tried to copy the picture online as closely as I could. I also nicely got this shelf from IKEA for Christmas, fits perfectly in with the design. And with them being stickers, you can take it off whenever you feel like it, and it leaves your wall completely clean (I rearranged mine quite a few times haha)!

Just a little idea for anyone wanting a change of room for 2012! x

Just to warn you, picture heavy post! Also.. Happy new year! Hope you all had a good one. I realised the other day, I was so excited for the boxing day sales, but never told you all what I got! I had to be really good this year, I'm going to New York in February (which is so much sooner than I thought) so I've got save all my pennies to pay off the rest of the trip... and of course, to take as much money as I can!

The bag above is actually full price in River Island - but saw it and loved it. It's £50, but I looked around frantically instore (it was literally crazy), and found this baby for £12.50! The strap was broken, so it was massively reduced. To see the bag online full-price click here.... At first I was a bit unsure if I could fix it, I superglued it but it didn't work, but then just clicked the strap onto the front instead of the back and it's perfect! It's huge too, can fit so much of my crap inside.

And also luckily managed to grab the Marc Jacobs Eau So Fresh - Daisy gift box set for only £34.99 (its about £65 full price). Contains the 75ml bottle, which to buy individually costs around £50. The lady said she'd sold around 20 of the boxes in the past hour, so I'm glad I got there in time!

And finally, the best and cheapest buy of the day. Vintage Jager blazer, £1.50.

I got this from Age UK charity shop, and the label says it was reduced from £19.99. I absolutely love it, it fits perfectly and it has shoulder pads too (new obsession). Love the purple and green hues.

Did anyone else brave the manic sales? Not going to lie, it was horrible - but definitely worth it in the end.

Hope you've all had an absolutely amazing Christmas, and time for a nice break! I personally love having a nosy at what Father Christmas got everyone his year, so here's the usual post of a few things which I luckily got!

This year I wisely asked for a few smaller things, and was so happy to receive them. I'll be the first to say that my mum isn't the best at buying some presents, so I was thrilled to see that she'd managed to find a few of the things I'd hoped for. Above, basically, is a big girls colouring book! It's the second book in the series by Nina Chakrabarti, and is described as "Another book for drawing, creating and dreaming". It has gorgeous illustrations over the pages, where you can finish and complete the designs, like on the third picture, I finished off the hair and makeup on the portrait. So much fun to just doodle in!

I'd heard a lot about "Wreck This Journal", and wanted to buy it for so long, but always decided that I didn't need it. When it comes to creating things, I'm a little bit too OCD about it being perfect... so this, basically tells you to lick the pages and (a personal favourite page, one where you can stick all of the stickers found on fruit!) (More books... Just love them). The Yves Saint Laurent colouring book! Small, pocket sized handbook and little place to create. Very cute.

'Style Me Vintage' book by Katie Reynolds should hopefully allow me to create some pretty looks for photoshoots for my photography projects, and again, is just an all around gorgeous hardback.

One of the most beautiful things I received.. is my first fashion illustration artist reference book. Been dying for one, just to help me with all of my projects. It's by Marin Dawber, and has lots of fashion & graphics based work. Can feel that this will be VERY helpful in the next few months!

Then a few surprises were.. some vintage looking heart shaped boxes (going to store nail polish in I think!) and a lovely jewellery tree from my friend Sanah, and of course, GORMET JELLY BEANS! Mmm, hello kitty edition too. I got far too much chocolate.. if anybody wants any.. please, do tell me, you can quite happily have it!

And finally... Christmas dinner can't be forgotten.

Feeling very festive, and had previously seen lots of Christmas themed nail art around on Tumblr, so thought I'd give it a go! I've got these nail art pens by RIO which are amazing and so easy to use. I got mine as a Christmas present a few years ago, but I think you can pick them up on eBay for about half the price! On the photo above, the purple glitter polish (I was going for a mulled wine look) was the Deborah Lippman polish I received in the December's Glossybox. Love it. The overcoat to these is a Rimmel one, not sure on the name, I think it's something like Stargazer? It was a cheap one anyway! Fingers crossed these'll last all the way through to the 25th itself!

So so pleased with the December edition of the box! It's even red, with a gold sticker, so christmassy! Might have been a little bit naughty and looked on the Glossbox website when they released a preview of the products, and I was wishing to get the mascara! My Benefit They're Real lashes mascara is on it's last legs, so to have this ready in time for Christmas is... perfect. And the glittery berry nail polish, perfect cranberry shade ready for the 25th. I couldn't have asked for more from the December box, can't wait for January!

I'm getting far too carried away with all of this DIY textiles stuff! I made these lovely decorations today, and they only take about 30 minutes each. Not so much a step-by-step.. more just ideas to get you inspired! I've seen really similar things in places like Accessorize, Laura Ashley & by Cath Kidston (for £10+) - just make them yourself!

Forgot to add - I stuffed the doll with standard fluffy style stuffing, but I ran out, so just used scrunched up tissues for the heart! Works exactly the same. You could use sponge, too. Just anything to pad it out with!

Bit of a random post, I know, I'm feeling particularly festive - and decided to do a new layout. Kind of a new feel to the blog, as we know, i'm not the best at posting, and to be honest, I can't do the whole 'fashion blogger' thing, it isn't really me. I'd love to, but I just can't. So, I'm going to post more often, literally anything that I feel is worth posting! Whether it's a new collection in Topshop, my favourite illustrator, or some new photography I've done. It will be an eclectic mix of art. Hope you like it haha! I decided to do a lot more of a... sleeker layout? I guess you could call it sleek haha! Something a bit plainer, more focus on the blog itself rather than the unneccssarry links here there, and everywhere.

I've got lots of exciting things to show you, I break up from college in exactly 5 days (woooo) so I'll be back on here literally every day. Just to tease you... some Jeffrey Campbell lookalikes, Benefit & MAC makeup reviews.. some of the new work I've done, a New Year's giveaway, and lots more!

For the past two or three years, I've loved peter pan collars. I've never been a massive fan of faux fur until this year, me and my leopard print coat are literally inseparable! I saw these collars on ASOS (above) when they brought out their new A/W collection a few months back - I really think that they make the whole outfit. All of the outfits would be really boring without the cute collars. I've been looking for a good (but cheap) one for quite a while, saw the perfect one at a vintage fair but it was £45!!

I went to St Lukes charity shop today, and found this b-e-a-utiful gem. Only £1.

I think it was originally part of a coat, it had these handy little elastic holes on it, which I'm guessing attached onto some buttons or something. I love the colour of it, and it's so soft!

I picked up some ribbon from eBay (3meters for £1.30), and just threaded it through the holes to tie it, like the ones above from River Island.

In my sewing box, I found some old plastic pearl bracelets, which I think I bought from Primark a few years ago for about £1, cut the string up and used the pearls to embellish the bottom of the collar

Also got my hair dyed back brown and cut again, quite a while ago though! A lot cheaper than the vintage £45 one, and you can't even tell the difference!

Glossybox: November

It's that time of month again. Glossybox! I wasn't in when this months box got delivered, so had to wait 48hrs to collect it. So tense. I've just got back from the post office (which is why the lighting is so awfully shit, sorry), but wanted to show any possible GB followers what I got this month.

To anyone who doesn't know what Glossybox is - it's basically, a box you receive once a month, full of 5 high-end travel sized products. The case usually is, that one or two of them are full-size - which is why it's so easy to get the money back on your products! It's £10.00 a month, plus £2.95 P+P, so basically £13.00 for a nice monthly treat, delivered to your door.

On the whole, I'd give the box 3/5. Unfortunately, there were no makeup products, which are always nice to see in the boxes. I think my favourite thing probably is the makeup base Monu Skin Perfector, as I'd probably use it most.

I was most pleased to see the Nail Rock nail wraps, I nearly bought some striped ones from Topshop the other day! I haven't had the chance to apply them yet, but I think that I'll definitely be using them on my toes, as they last MUCH longer. I received the black and white spots, but I've seen that they sent out leopard print, vertical stripes, and red lace. I'm very pleased with my spot themed ones!

Slightly disappointed with the fragrance samples, quite frankly, they smell like what my mum used to wear. I'm really not a massive fan of them, they're overpowering and not very subtle. I've read that a few other bloggers have received the Illamasqua 'FREAK' sample - which is their first fragrance, which I'd have loved to have had in my box.

As for the Sea Salts... not quite a luxury product. I don't really like using products in the bath, I always feel dirtier after I've come out, coated in soaps and exfoliants. I'm sure they'll come to use sometime soon though.

On the topic of GB.. I entered this competition on the Glossybox Facebook page, it was a nail art competition. If you could 'like' my entry, it would mean the world to me.

Glossybox: October 2011

I'm sure you've all heard of Glossybox and if you haven't, you should be pleased to have now! I've stumbled across a few of these pay monthly boxes, but always been slightly dubious. After reading a few other blogs, I decided to get my first box, and it arrived a few days ago. It seems like a few people have decided to go for the October box, after seeing how AMAZING September's box was! The box only puts cult-brand products, which is why it's such a lovely treat!

For anyone who isn't familiar with what they are, basically, you buy a "box" for £10 (plus £2.95 p+p), and it gets delivered to your door with 5 or 6 travel sized products (but from reading other blogs, this usually isn't the case, and a few items are full-sized). The original version in the US called Birchbox is similar, I'm so glad to have something similar in the UK!

Here's what I got this month...:

I'm quite thrilled with it really. I haven't had chance to try the Dermalogica stuff out properly yet, but I've got the nail polish on at the moment and it's amazing. I'm really pleased because it seems that on other peoples blogs, the Leighton Denny nail polish people received was a slightly metallic blue - but I love the candyfloss pink. Really thick, only needed one coat! Theres tonnes of really pretty colours on the website, so check them out! I'm wearing the STILA Smudgestick tonight, it's like a mossygreen colour, I'm pairing it with a plum coloured dress from Topshop and black heels. I've swatched it on my hand this morning, tried to take a picture but for some reason my camera wasn't focusing, and It's stayed on all this time! Passed the time test anyway!

Just a quick post, but I definitely recommend to get the box. I know it seems like a lot over a whole year, but it's a nice little treat once a month. Almost like Christmas.. every month haha!

Mid-season sales are my favourite. Not that I need anymore shoes (at all), I just couldn't resist any of these. Chances are that I'll wear them is very slim... but they do look very beautiful on my shoerack.

I can't decide which are my favourites! I loved the 50s style peep-toe wedges so much I bought them in two colours.. and at £3! SERIOUSLY, £3. Nearly had a heart attack in the middle of Primark. And I was only on my hour lunch break at work, and came back with two huge Primark bags (bought some bags, some tights, and a few other things that I don't really need). Lucky me! The other pairs which are from River Island, I bought on Friday. Massive crazy sale on there, and online too. I love those boots, but I'm still a little unsure of them. I might take them back and just save up for a really gorgeous pair, I've got my eye on a few in Topshop.

I've wanted a pair of subtle creepers for a while, but I've been a bit cautious to buy them, unsure what I'd wear them with! I saw this pair half price in River Island, and loved them. They're so comfy, and add a few extra inches to me without the pain. And in mustard, win win situation. They had them in a few other colours too, so grab them whilst they're in stock!

What do you think of these boots? I've got a 28 days return on them... So I've got plenty of deciding time...

#LFW - Meadham Kirchoff

Just another quick post today, I keep looking at all of the London Fashion Week things and wanting to post it all! This post is on Meadham Kirchoff's S/S2012 collection. As soon as I saw it, I loved it. The candyfloss colours, similar to The House of Holland (below) are really pretty - and wearable, especially for a snowy winter!

My favourite thing about this collection, is the ultra-feminine vibe. Unlike some designers, pieces of this collection are truly wearable, or you can try and recreate the styles. The gorgeous, winehouse-esque pastel hair is easily copied - buy a pot of directions, and wack it on bleached hair! Mines currently pastel pink, and the best bit is, that it'll only last about three washes!

I'd love to get married in this dress, bottom left, with the veil of bottom right!

And finally, these four looks are my favourite. Schoolgirl meets schoolteacher. Kitsch, colourful, and fun. I've always loved the colour-clash of baby pink and red, so when I saw these red leather gloves mixed with the marshmallow dress, it was a clear winner for me.

The most exciting time of the year for bloggers.. London Fashion Week! Two days in, and I've already fallen in love with a few collections, The House Of Holland, and Vivienne Westwood to name a few. As soon as I saw the photographs from THOH, I literally fell in love. The masquline cuts, pastel hues and general boy-meets-girl look are so versatile and wearable. Animal print is big again this season, and personally, I often find it a bit hit and miss but Henry has pulled it off beautifully. (A leopard print faux fur coat is on my to-buy list this winter, along with some mental leopard print leggings from H&M, I'm sure you'll have seen them in store).

It would be quite easy to recreate the highwaisted jeans in photo 1. Grab a pair of old jeans (even your dads would be ideal), and just bleach parts. I've done it with a pair of shorts, tutorial to follow (soon.. hopefully..)

New favourite heels

Two posts in two days! I took these pictures yesterday, I kinda had an urge to post.. so rushed out of the house and took a few pictures of what I was wearing, realising that I look a little bit like Jedward. Speaking of - is anyone else absolutely obsessed with them, and think they're gorgeous? I do, definitely want to marry John. And you can tell the difference, trust me!

If you read my previous post, I mentioned that I was completely obsessed with H&M's new A/W'11 collection - so heres a little bit more of it, and a few more things I bought in London!

No17 nailpolish - £2.49

I can't stop wearing this blazer! It's likely that it'll come up in a lot of later posts, so I apologise beforehand haha! With it being September 1st, I'm feeling all autumny, and really like the leafy hues, especially mustard.

I got this fake mulberry from eBay about a year ago but completely forgot to show you guys! I think it's from China, and it was only £34.99. It's such a good copy, it's got 'Mulberry' detailing on all of the buckles and looks pretty much identical to the real thing, at a small fraction of the price. I just searched 'ALEXA' on eBay and it came up. I think the postage was £5, but it's completely worth it trust me, and you can fit loads in!

No exaggeration, these heels are the comfiest thing I've ever worn. Usually I'm such a girl about wearing heels, and always end up taking them off half way through a night, but I can just wear these in the day. I can't wait for winter, so I can layer them up with wooly tights and cute ankle socks.

Hello! Just a quick post (slightly delayed, my photobooth wouldn't let me log in for ages). I went to London for my birthday last week, it was so amazing! I stayed overnight with my friend Holly, and we spent one day around Oxford St, and the other around Camden. I'm going to try my best to get down to London at least once every two months from now on, because I want to go to uni there, and besides, it's my favourite place! Everytime I seem to go to London it's always so hectic.. I really want to go down, and just chill out. I was a little bit worried with all of the riots and stuff, but everything was absolutely fine. Here's a few pictures of what I got upto, and what I bought (more importantly!)

After a long tiring journey all the way there, we searched for a cute cafe. There were literally Starbucks & Costa's every few metres, but I was determined to find somewhere a bit different. Lots of places were closed because we went down on my birthday which was a Sunday - and at about 11am, it was difficult to find somewhere decent. We eventually found this lovely little shabby chic cafe called Yumcha. It smelt so nice as soon as you walked in, and it was so vintagey I loved it. I got a vegetarian panini, tea and a little raspberry macaroon (which she gave me for free, wooooo). The food was really yummy and it was so nice to just find somewhere a little bit more relaxed, right in the centre of London. I can't wait to go back there!

We spent a few hours on Oxford St, spending lots of money (slightly regret now, but oh well), then went back to the hotel and got ready to go out. This was the first time I'd properly got chance to use my new camera. I looked to touristy with it around my neck haha! We got chinese in boxes and just sat for a few hours until it got dark. It was nice and warm thankfully! I also dyed my hair slightly pink.. bit unsure about it..

Really sorry to anyone thats a bit funny with feet haha, but it's so surreal to have little fish on your feet! I've wanted to have a fish pedicure in a while, just to see how it feels, and when it was £10 on Camden for 15 minutes, I could hardly say no. At first I was a little bit worried, as soon as I put my feet in they were all over! It was so strange. It tickled, but kinda felt like little bubbles all over your feet. The more I looked at them the more I laughed. It's definitely worth having a go at it though! And of course, a good Starbucks to finish the day off.

I bought a few other things too, which I'll be posting about soon. I promise, I've got the pictures already haha! It's mostly all from H&M - I literally love their A/W 11' collection, I've bought half of the stuff on the mannequins already! It's all so cheap and lovely and aaaaaah.

Hello lovely lovely people! I haven't posted in a while again, surprise surprise. Not much has happened since I last blogged, but today I went to St Lukes charity shop just down my road, looking for some plain t-shirts for my graphics project, but ended up buying lots more than I planned. And only one plain t-shirt for graphics. Ooops! I'm so pleased though, here's what I got! P.s the hair isn't mine haha, it's extensions. I got bored of having short hair (again)!

I'm so in love with the maxi skirt! I went into the charity shop not expecting to find anything, maybe a few headscarves, but as soon as I saw this skirt I grabbed it. And a bustier top to match too! So lucky! I also got a gorrrrgeous floral tapestry suitcase (which I can take on my birthday weekend to London this weekend), a bumbag which I can take to Leeds Festival this year, a vintage headscarf, some cute teacups, a Lancome facewash, a lace top, a masssive jumper and a vintage belt. The Doc Martens weren't from St Lukes, I got them from a vintage fair, but needed to show you guys. They were only £25! So pleased! They're so heavy though, I need to wear them in.

Title post: Florence and the machine

There are so many sales on at the moment! I've bought far too much this week, it's likely that some of the stuff I bought a few days ago will be going back. I bought a really pretty coat from River Island a few days ago, a coat, in July. I don't know why. And four pairs of shoes. For no reason. It's really bad, but I don't mind. Here are a few things which I bought today..

The sales are amazing in most places, but when Accessorize have 70% off, I buy everything I don't need; but thats really pretty. I got these babies which I've wanted for months, but just couldn't justify buying them full price.

"Amour" heart chain: was £6.00, bought for £1.80

Swallow chain: was £8.00, bought for £2.40

Sailing boat pendant, was £6.00, bought for £1.80

They also have the £10.00 mixed cluster earring packs for £3.00! I got this cute tea-pot set with cupcakes and teacups, it will look cute for work :)

The leopard print pumps are from Office and only cost £5! They were £18, but the prices in Office have been cut quite dramatically, so you'll get some real bargains in there! I love leopard print but sometimes it can look a bit cheap - I like these because they have the cute little faces on too aswell as the print.

I’m a space bound rocket ship and your heart’s the moon

Third post in a week! Not bad! The title of my post today is a song by Eminem - Spacebound. It sums up whats going on with me now so I can really relate to it, and besides, Eminem is an all-round badass.

I worked this morning, so got home and didn't really have anything to do. I decided to spend hours on Tumblr (like most days) and some of the nail-art on there is really amazing. I was inspired by lots of things on there - dip-dyed hair, bleached shorts, nail art - so decided to try and combine all of that together. Gradients seem to be everywhere at the moment, and doing it on nails looks so hard!! I thought it was done with an airbrush, or with tiny tiny dots of nailpolish.. but then I discovered doing it a MUCH easier way! I wasn't too sure how it was actually going to look.. but I'm pleasantly surprised with it :)

First you'll need to decide on what colours your going to use - I was torn between pink or blue, but went for pink. Gather up all of your nailpolishes in that colour range to help you decide which ones to use. The colours I used were:

Sally Hansen Diamond Strength No Chip - 29 Radiant Rose

No7 Stay Perfect - 40 Sugar Syrup

Avon Arabian Glow - Coral Sands

17 Fast Finish - Pink Grapefruit

No7 Stay Perfect - 45 Very Petal

Spectacular - Mermaid 83

Obviously don't go out and buy these exact ones haha, just use whatever you've got - they should all blend together as long as they go from light to dark. I painted my first base coat with Revlon 050 - White on White to give myself a clean canvas for the colours to show up on, but it looks really pretty just clear too. Make sure that your base coat is completely dry before you put any other colours on or they will all blend together (which we don't want just yet!)

Create swatches of all your colours in order, on a piece of paper or a paper plate so you can easily sponge the colour on. I used an old foundation sponge, and just cut it up (the sponges never worked for my foundation anyway aha). Dab the lightest colour you've got onto the paper and wipe away and excess polish.

Dab it onto your nail almost all the way to your cuticle, with less pressure the nearer the bottom of your nail. I did this three times because the pink I've got is really light and I wanted to get a really solid base, but it's entirely upto you how you'd like to do it :)

Again it's completely upto you how many shades of colour you'd like to use, I did 6, so it took a while for each coat to dry. Do this over with each shade, doing less and less each time until you get to the solid dark pink at the top of your nail - this will create the gradient effect.

To top it off, I used two glitter nail polishes to make give them a sort of galactic look, I used gold (Rimmel London 651 Eccentricity) and pink (Barry M Nail Paint - 264 Pink Irridescent). I chose to use two because the gold has really nice big clumps of glitter; whereas the Barry M is very fine. I found it easier to just dab the polish straight onto the sponge and then onto the nail. I only did it at the top; but then went over the whole nail with the pink glitter.

Putting a good quality top coat on is really important too, I used Sally Hansen Insta-Dry top coat (mainly because it dried all the layers in 30 seconds!) The top coat will keep your glitter stuck down instead of peeling away.

Sorry the pictures aren't the best, it wasn't very sunny when I was doing it :(

White lips, pale face, breathing in snowflakes

Just when we thought we'd finally gotten into summer, the highstreet are releasing their previews of the A/W collections for 2011. In July. Depressing. I'm sure if your on mailing lists for places like ASOS you'll receive emails about any upcoming collections. Here's a sneak preview of the A/W collection for Topshop.

Key things to look out for:

- The masculine cuts of clothing, intricate detailing on collars

- Faux fur in a variety of warm colours

- Natural makeup is key - with contrasting inky lips

- Less is more - keeping jewellery to a minimum but exaggerate features with shoulder pads and embellishments

- Chunky black shoes, black brogues and loafers with socks will go down a treat

What do you think of the collection? I really like the edginess of the sharp coats.. but I can't see myself in shorts without thick tights in Autumn.

Only Love Is All Maroon

Hello! I've not posted in quite a while, my bad. I've been quite busy - most of you probably aren't bothered why haha, but, heres just a little catch-up before I get back into posting so your not all confused when I mention the odd thing aha!

- I've just been at college really - I had my English Language Exam which I had to revise quite badly for - not too sure how I did on that..

- I'm going to New York in February! So excited! I'm going for a week with college, and we'll be there over valentines day. So cute!

- I'm not with my boyfriend anymore

- I died my fringe an orangey colour! A bit different.. still can't decide if I like it or not. Some days it looks good, some days it looks terrible. You can kinda see if on the pictures below.

- I did a new layout - I think it looks so much nicer than before, what do you think? I drew the top part as part of my art coursework for this year but decided it would look quite nice up there :)

- I saved up and finally got my new camera! I bought a Nikon D7000, but still don't know how to use it properly. #thingstodothissummer

- I'm going to Leeds Festival in August, so excited!

- I bought tickets to see Britney Spears in November (I'm so sad it's unreal, i'm obsessed)

Now we've got all of the boring stuff out of the way, I'll post again asap.

Following on from my last post on Masculine styling, I came across this amazing online shop called Zalando. They sell loads of really pretty vintage-esque dresses, my favourites being the Mint & Berry ones. Here are a few of my favourites, one is practically the same as the lovely Marc Jacobs dress she wore! The best bit, is that they all have amazing collars, especially the lace one!

They're all amazing, and they have lots of more dresses on there too, French Connection, converse, and this pair of Doc Martens which I've wanted for so long, I couldn't find the minty green ones anywhere in my size!

Lots of the things they've got on there are really similar to what Alexa wears, check out her style file on Vogue.

Pretty random post, but I just wanted to show you all those lovely dresses, I can't find them anywhere else online! So tempted to buy the floral lace one.. or the long sleeved nude one. Which do you prefer?

Who doesn't love brogues, peter pan collars, tailored shorts and satchels? I'm certainly a massive fan of brogues, I own far too many it's getting a little bit ridiculous. Mulberry, the revival of the satchel have taken storm, and added a feminine twist with pink leopard prints. Not to mention them being named after style icon Alexa Chung, the queen of boy-meets-girl style who embraces the trend beautifully.

The best place to look for shirts and blazers is in charity shops at vintage fairs. You can pick up old mens shirts which are quite vile, but mixed with a nice belt and some red lipstick, for about £5, just like the shirt below in one of my old posts.

Last week I bought some new makeup from eBay. At first I was a little bit worried about buying it.. you don't know what could be in it haha! But, after looking at the feedback and the comments I decided it was worth a shot.

I'm obsessed with Benefit - I just love the packaging and the vintage feel of it all, not so much the pricetag though. I've had the BadGal lash mascara, the lipgloss and BeneTint, and my staple, the Brow-zings eyebrow box which I think I could die without. It's amazing!

I'm saving up to buy a new SLR, so I was going to cut down on little things like buying nice makeup and stuff, so had a little look online. And found this..

Mac False Lash Effect Mascara - £4.50 (with £2 postage)

Benefit Boi-ing Industrial Strength Concealer - £3.50 (with £2 postage)

The reason they were so cheap is because they are factory faults. Like the packaging or the printing is slightly wrong so they are unsellable - but I can't notice any difference! The products themselves are perfect.

I have tiny weenie eyes and literally no eyelashes and this is amazing! Saying that, it REALLY hurts when you get it in your eye...

Fuel For Life

Sorry about the depressing post before, I've had the worst week ever. On the plus side, I've handed in my Art, Graphics and Photography - so i've got a lot more free time to do things.. like post.

I went into town yesterday, and had a look in a few charity shops, and picked out some gems. I really don't know why everyone doesn't shop in charity shops, they're amazing! I picked up this gorgeous sheer plum shirt, for £3.99!

The sleeves look really nice rolled up, or buttoned at the wrists. I can't believe it was so cheap! I rummaged around, there were lots of things I wanted to buy but didn't, so headed to the till when I saw this...

Diesel: Fuel for Life, only £4.99! It's 50ml, and completely full, with the box. I really love the lace bottle, and it smells gorgeous. Couldn't believe my luck!

And from H&M...

Horse book pendant necklace: £3.99

Mix of rings: £2, was £5.99, but one was broken! They're so pretty, and quite a few were broken in my H&M in Sheffield, so have a look in yours, i'm sure they might be some broken too.

Opening purse necklace: Primark, £2 i think?

And I finally got my hair cut again! It was getting a bit combover-mullet like (not a good look), so went to Hair Kandi in Sheffield and got it cut short again. I really love it, and it only takes 5 minutes to dry and straighten it!

I heard somethings happening tomorrow? Someones getting married? Who knows.. I love all of the cheesy royal-wedding merch, toaster bags to condoms (wtf), I think it's all brilliant. I'll be watching the wedding tomorrow - but only to see what Kate's dress is like and who designed it!

The whole of the world are going mental about the wedding and Britain, so I felt like I should join in! Instead tomorrow, I'm going to my friend Amy's house to drink Bucks Fizz and eat Trifle and Shortbread! Here's a few of my favourite British-inspired items.

As the world falls down

I've not blogged for about a month again, surprise surprise. I'll do a little update, it's pretty boring but I do honestly have reasons why I've been so absent, feel free to scroll down :)

The past two weeks I went on holiday to Turkey and the weather was rubbish so I didn't get the tan I really wanted, but it was lovely to get away for two weeks and chill out a bit. The title of this post is one of the songs from my favourite film, Labyrinth. The one with David Bowie in, if you haven't seen it, you really need to! It's honestly amazing. I'm ill today so I've been watching lots of films, including Labyrinth, Sex & The City and Eclipse. All of my college deadlines were just before the Easter holidays, and with them all being arty it took so much effort which I didn't have, leaving me completely uninspired to blog :( I've also become a vegetarian! Not because I think it's cruel to eat meat because I do love my bacon sandwiches on a Saturday morning, but because I'm really picky about what I eat meat-wise as it is, I don't eat it off the bone or if it's bloody or anything.. and I only like chicken anyway! It's going well so far and I'm eating a lot more fruit and stuff, so we'll see how it goes. I changed my nose ring to a stud, and decorated my study all floral and pretty.

Anywaaaaay...

With the weather being so lovely in England, I went to the park the other day in shorts with no tights! I think summer may well and truly be on it's way, and if it stays like this for the whole summer, I will be a very happy person.

The Guess bag is my new favourite. I bought it at the airport on the way back from Turkey, and for it for £60, but on the website it's £75. Duty Free = Heaven. It's bamboo with a lovely lilac patent bow. I saw it and fell in love with the bow, it's so cute. It's really handy too, because it's just like a huge purse, it's got all the card slots and a coin part too. It makes me love it even more because I got it for such a good price!

The Vintage Kilo Fair

So sorry it's being so long.. again. I've been so busy with stupid college exams and working! But, I went to the Vintage Fair today in Sheffield, and was surprisingly pleased! Because it's a Kilo pick-and-mix fair, you can get whatever you want for a kilo, for £12! It's great because you can get some really lovely things for pennies! I spent £14, because I got a few extra things. Sorry about the pictures being a little blurry, I've just got back and it's getting pretty dark outside so my little slr wouldn't focus :(

I bought...

- Maroon peter pan collared dress

- White ruffle blouse

- High waisted tan chino shorts

- Floral silk top

- Red peter pan collar shirt

- Horse headscarf

- HUGEEEE pink and white striped lace nightie

They all look pretty hideous to be fair, but I adjusted them and altered them to fit properly and I really love them! Not bad for £14!

My favourites by far are the shorts! I didn't manage to get a picture before I shortened them, but they're knee length and make me look like a medieval jester.. not a good look.

Trend: Pretty pastels

It's March.. Hurrah! Which means, spring has just about sprung. Which means summer is on it's way.. meaning S/S collections to drool over. With collections this summer focusing mainly on the palette of tangerines and flamingo pinks, we can ease in with yummy minty green, and ultra-feminie parma-violet shades. From Fendi to Stella McCartney, pastels are everywhere (it's not a bad thing).

DIY: Pocket watch

It's raining again! I should probably be doing a lot of work today, it's my last day of half term before going back to college, but instead, i'm blogging, watching Skins and celebrity juice, and messing around with my camera (my fisheye lens finally came)!

A while ago, I picked up this pocket watch from a carboot sale for £2. I really loved it, but it came in a box, smelt like dirty old smoker men. It was on a chain with a clasp to hook to a pocket, so I took it off, and picked up a cheap thin gold chain from Accessorize in the broken box for 20p. It was only 20p because the original pendant was missing, which was good! I always have a rummage in the broken box, things are so easy to fix with a gluegun and some thread, and picked up a keyring which was also broken - and took the key off it. It had a small bow on and the actual ring for your keys, which I binned.

I can't believe how pretty the pocket watch is, it's got lovely little floral and bird patterns engraved, for only £2!! It took about 5 minutes to do, so much better than buying an expensive one from somewhere like Topshop :)

Vivienne Westwood for £10? Yes, please

I wish it was London Fashion week every week. And I also wish there was Sheffield Fashion Week. I'm making sure I get down to London next year to capture all of the beautiful clothes. All of the pictures of shows i've seen look great, but one of my favourites by far, has to be Vivienne Westwood's.

In the past, various designers have contributed to Red Nose Day - but these t-shirts are gorgeous, and fresh from LFW. And £5 for each t-shirt goes straight to comic relief. TK-Maxx are selling the t-shirt's again this year, and I'll definitely be getting one. Or two.

Hello! Sorry it's been a week. How've you all been? I've had a pretty good week - got my AS exam papers issued. To anyone whos doing graphics, photography or art, HOW SHIT ARE THE QUESTIONS?! I don't know what I'm going to do.. if i fail.. I'm blaming it on dull questions. Also - there was a huge Topshop sale. It's fair to say I went a little bit crazy after going to Starbucks on Friday. I didn't even know there was a mid-season sale! I guess it's that awkward time between winter and spring. Remember my previous post about Peter Pan collars, and how all my favourites were from Topshop? ALL 4 OF MY FAVOURITES WERE ON SALE! I meant to post about them today, but the weather is so bad at the moment I thought i'd wait for a better time and get some with a bit better lighting!

Anyway, with it being that awkward time between seasons, it means all of the new collection for S/S2011 is being previewed! I managed to get these pictures from Look, and you won't believe where they're all from! I couldn't, anyway..

What do you think? I love the 2-in-1 chiffon dress, and the american star jumper just above. It's so similar to Tee and Cake's version from Topshop for £30, which i've been lusting after for a while. Ooh, also the camel and floral 50s style collar dresses, and at £15 each.. I might buy both. It's Primark's S/S 2011 collection, and I absolutely love it. What're your favourites? I do have to say though - Primark's prices are going up each collection, but I guess it's still cheaper than buying things from River Island or Topshop.

Today is.. cold, boring, it's 3.44pm and I'm still in my Pj's. What better is there to do on a Sunday then look at all the things you want, can't afford and would never buy because of the price tag. To be honest - It's what I spend the majority of my time doing, not just Sundays. I came across this gorgeous Topshop Dress for £36.00. Not such a bad price, but compared to £4.40 - I know which I'd rather pick.

I went into town with my friend Lily, we had Starbucks and Subway (we do it every Friday after college), and then nipped into Cancer Research. I didn't expect to really find anything, and with only £7.22 on my card, didn't expect to be able to afford anything, either. Until I came across this green polka-dot dress - it's a size 18, incredibly long and very baggy. I really liked the colour green - perfect for this summer (planning a little in advance, I know). It's supposed to be the other way around to the picture, it has a really low-cut neck, but switched around, I liked the shift style square neck. I wanted to adjust it, make it shorter, maybe add a collar. So, I had a shot at it, I'm quite pleased with the outcome.

Hello, lovely people. I've actually had a good day, for once. I'm making out like I hate my life (which I don't, trust me haha), but I've a really had a productive day. I've got all four of my college deadlines this Friday, so i've literally been working non stop. And probably should be now, despite it being 00:47. Because they're all arty subjects, the work takes ages to do, and a lot of motivation and effort to do, which the majority of the time is down the drain. I'll post all of my final pieces on here later when they're finished, if you'd like :)?

I'm going to be generally keeping up my blog a lot more - yet it might not be all that fashiony, sorry guys! I'm going to kinda do it about things I like at the moment, hence xruthloves, I guess. I think this way - it'll keep me motivated, and sort of a diary? Who knows, we'll see what happens. I'm going to try to get more outfit posts done, and upload more photos which I've taken.

I'm in a perfect place right now; laying in bed with my MacBook, with my wooly pjs on and a mahooosive rolling stones tshirt, listening to a new playlist i've created (consists of David Bowie, Adele, Nicki Minaj and Duffy). It's so good, and so are all of their new albums. Oh also, a cup of tea. I've bought a few new things recently - which I don't think i've showed any of you lovely bloggers. The lightings quite pretty, it's just my lamp on my bedside table. Everything looked a slight shade of gold, which made me whip my camera out and take these pictures.

I got this jewellery stand from eBay, it's only clear plastic, but it's nice and simple and holds a few pairs of my earrings, so i'm going to order some more. They're from Hong Kong, and I think cost me £2.44? I can't remember. But they're definitely work buying, they save so much clutter and losing of the odd earring. If you'd like the link, just let me know. The earrings are from various places - Topshop, Vivienne Westwood, Matalan, Primark, Accessorize, one pair I won on a giveaway from heartshapedbruise which i love, and my latest addition, these parisian cameo style babies. My friend's mum actually bought me them as a present, I think they're from Miss Selfridge originally though. I got the cameo pearl necklace from Matalan a while back, for £1.20 I think? It was on sale - I wish the prices were like that originally though! I've also started rereading The Series Of Unfortunate Events books, which were my favourite when I was younger. I watched the film yesterday and it made me realise my love for Violet, Klaus and Sunny Baudilere once more.

Sorry for the heavy paragraphs going on - I think there may be more of these to come haha! Have a lovely weekend if I don't post before.

2nd post in a week - i'm getting back into this :) I nearly bought the floral peter pan collar dress from Topshop yesterday! It was so tempting. I planned on saving my money - but; ended up spending pretty much the same price as the dress - £30 - on random stuff. I have a tee from Topshop - well; it's a Tee And Cake vest, and I love it. It's of RUN DMC; you might have seen it in there. I can't stop wearing it, but £22 for a vest is a lot!

I went into Primark - and decided to make my own. It's easy, you should do it!

The t-shirts were £3 each - and i'd pay about £15 for these! I literally cut off the sleeves (and the hem) and the hemming at the bottom and around the neck; and then stretched and pulled it to make the edges roll, and then sliced bits in with my scissors :) They look so nice with a pretty black lace bra underneith :) Topshop, on the cheap

I love Primark.

Obviously - in Primark it's necessary to go around the whole shop - so also made a trip to the accessories section, and went a bit crazy when I saw all of these pendant necklaces. The pendant necklaces were £1.50 each - and the bracelet was £2. I have a good feeling that they're going to sell out, there exactly the same as the accessorize ones! Grab them now! x

Quick Update -

New layout - what do you think? I got a bit bored with the old one, I can never make my mind up. Just to let you know - the giveaway below is extended till' February 15th - although one of my new years resolutions was to blog more often; i've had so much work to be getting on with it's been virtually impossible to be inspired and get a good post done! They're over 1st Feb - so I can relax, a bit.

Anyway - to the interesting stuff;

I've been obsessed with collars for a while now - especially peter pan style collars. The obsession kind of started when Lily Allen released 'The Fear' video; when she wore the gorgeous multi-coloured shift style dress (I think thats what it was.. I can't remember too well) with the statement black collar - but that was a while ago. I've been drooling all over the Topshop website at all of the gorgeous dresses - I couldn't just choose one to buy - i'd want all of them. I picked up a gorgeous gold lurex shift dress from River Island with a laaavley crochet collar - I wore it to my work Christmas party (which seems so long ago..) But never got a chance to show you guys.

Everyone seems to be wearing jumpers, dresses and tops with Peter Pan collars, from Agyness Deyn to Diana Vickers - it just goes to show how gorgeous and easy they are to wear.

I particularly love the mustard velvet dress and Nicole Richies whole outfit

It just so happens to be that all of my favourite items are all from Topshop! They range in price from £ 26 to £32 - I just can't decide which to buy :(

I know it's been a while, but, I HOPE YOU HAD A LOVELY CHRISTMAS! New years res - blog at least once a week. I promise. How was your Christmas this festive season? Did father Christmas bring you anything nice? I'm glad Christmas is over this year - it just hasn't been the same, despite getting some lovely little presents. I've been looking forward to the boxing day sales, so, I trekked to go shopping in the bitterly cold with my friend Holly to find some bargains. Which as you can imagine, I was quite happy I did.

I picked up these lilac suade Carvela brogues from Kurt Geiger, clearly love in a box! They were £110 (as you can see, i've ran around with them on in the shop for a while..) and I picked them up for just £19.00. Not a bad discount, eh? I also bought some leather shorts and some skinny black trousers from River Island, a lace blouse from H&M, some paper-bag shorts from Mango, a polo shirt from Topshop, some more Chloe perfume (my gorgeeeeeous boyfriend bought me some for Christmas!) and a few bits and bobs from Accessorize. The sales this year were... okay.. but expensive and there were only a few amazing things in my eyes. Get it while you can, go and have a rummage!

IT'S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS..

Hey!! Not like anyone else has talked about it (it's all i've heard about and seen for the past week).. Snow?! It's honestly upto my knees here where I live. Like seriously? Started in NOVEMBER? -8?! Agh, I think it's safe to say summers over guys!!

I managed to get out of the house today without slipping over.. or getting completely soaked, so, I went to town with my friend Holly, and I thought i'd treat myself to some early Christmas presents.

I've decided that im upping my complete makeup collection. I've tried a few Benefit products in the past, but I just love Urban Decay & Benefit's packaging, so, looks like i'm going to be splashing out a little over the festive season - hey, there's nothing wrong with that.. I guess? Today I bought the UD Perversion Liquid Eyeliner - it's actually amazing. Seriously.

The brush is so versatile I can even manage to get it on my bottom lashes too. Sorry you can't really see the eyeliner too much, the lighting's rubbish now it's winter! :(

I stuck with my good old £2.99 Collection 2000 eyeliner because I just thought it was black liquid, but this stays on for HOURS and the brush is amazingly precise, I'm actually in love. I bought it for £12.50, but there was a 10% offer on, so I got it for around £11 (i cant remember..). Also, when you bought any product, you got a free product. So, I got the Big Fatty Mascara in Black - i'm in need of a new one, the brush is mahoooooosive. Naturally, I thought i'd make the most out of the offer, so bought a pinky blusher in 'Quickie', for £12.50 (originally around £13-14). It's so smooth. If you want some new makeup.. Urban Decay is the one. I then got a mini-eyeshadow Primer Potion, which keeps eyeshadow solid for hours and hours. I love that it's in a little bottle too, it means I can take it everywhere [: I picked up the Ultraglide lipgloss from eBay, brand new and sealed for about £3, (it's $17 online) in shade 'Deep' (it tastes like cinnamon, it's got me in the Christmas spirt), and the Benefit IT Concealer pencil for around £4 too. Not bad, in my opinion!

And lastly, I picked up these BarryM nailpolishes from eBay for 99p!! The postage was £3.50, but still, I was very pleased. I love the lime green one, it's so lovely.

Hello! If anyone remembered my last post on Lanvin for H&M - it was a rather excited post quite a while back with just one video to keep us all hanging - not quite enough for my likings. So, after 2 and a half hours of cropping these pictures and putting them in one picture - I have for you, the final collection for H&M, by Lanvin, get ready, guys.

I'm really sorry about the random twitter icon.. I'm not too sure why it's there, but nevermind - WHAT ARE YOUR FAVOURITES?!

I'm not just saying this because i'm slightly overwhelmed by the juicy goodness, but there isn't one thing I don't like in this collection. I'm seriously considering buying the belted faux fur coat. My favourites? The embellished t-shirts, the gorgeous yellow dress, red bow heels.. the clutches.. I honestly don't know where to stop. From £7.99 - £149.99, I don't see where anyone is going wrong.

If you read this blog regularly, you'll understand that I love vintage like JLS like dick, so when the Vintage Fair came, it's obvious that I went! The problem being.. I had no money. Seriously, what was I thinking?! It was utter hell looking around all the nice things but not having the chance to buy anything! There were loads of cute little stalls like Alice Takes A Trip, Trilbies & Tassles and Lottie Loves - it's so nice to see their stuff in person rather than online! My personal favourite things were all of the lovely peter pan collared dresses, the fairisle knits, and the stunning fur coats - I wish i had one. Take a look at all of the lovely things!

Despite the bitter cold winter mornings and ice-dusted nights, it isn't time to stop wearing heels - or flats for that matter of fact. From Balenciaga to Topshop, Wooden colour blocks to toecaps - colour block heels are the hottest thing right now. Heels have officially gone Haribo on us, in a multitude of colours, shapes and forms!

Black and nude? Yes please! Perfect for this Christmas.. and with the nude body of the shoes.. elongating legs.. whats to say no to?! If only I could open a pair of Just Cavalli babies on Christmas Day. Now that, would be colourful.

It's November already! Once November's over.. It's December.. so basically Christmas! Eeeep! I've already seen mini Christmas trees in Debhanams, and can't decide whether that's good or worrying. How was your halloween? Mine wasn't as eventful as i'd imagined it to be, but i'm going to a nice big one next weekend (dressing as Mario ;)!) Here's the pumpkin me and my boyfriend carved:

Who loves Accessorize? Or should I say, who doesn't love accessorize? (no-one? -i thought so). The only problem being, it's so expensive! But so good. There are 2 Accessorize shops where I live, so it's hard not to rummage around when your in there, and I rummage for broken bits and bobs. I picked up these babys. Russian Doll Pendant - £6, Butterfly Pendant - £6, Pearl necklace - £10. £22? Nah, 90p.

I just fixed them up with a needle and thread, took a while but hey, it's worth it! You can slightly see the black thread on the pictures, but it's mostly at the back, where nobody looks!

PARIS NIGHTS & NEW YORK MORNINGS

Last week, the Topshop sale emerged. And we all know what that means, don't we? Crazy women, girls, and men running around the shop like Stacey Slater's mum from Eastenders. I walked in, really rather buzzing, and literally couldn't see the racks. £3, £5, £15 signs everywhere - yet despite Topshop's lovely goodness, couldn't find anything that was decent! There were nice dresses and shorts but the minimum i'd be spending would be like £25. Which if you know me personally, i wasn't quite up for.

Until I came across the shoe rack..

I've been told off for not posting, despite my complete blog-block! I'm honestly sorry for those of you who actually read this! I would love to have posted.. I just have no inspiration!

Like I said in the last (very depressing) post, which seems like lightyears ago.. I have joined the aviator-cult, and i'm in love. Remember the last post, a while ago, about Aviators? The cheapest was from Tesco I think.. and to be honest, it wasn't the prettiest of things, in my opinion.

So, i'd saved for a while.. and as H&M online opened while I was away in Greece, I couldn't resist buying things from there! Logged on.. added a few things to my basket.. and came across this beauty. For only £24.99. Just fainted? I nearly did.

If you want it, I suggest you get it as SOON as you can to avoid major depression for a while!

Hey! How've you all been? Just a quick post, i've ordered LOADS of stuff which i'll be showing you soon, the cheapest brogue-boots and aviator jackets that i've seen, soon to be in my wardrobe. I don't know about you, but I love a good bargain, who doesn't?! Especially when you can get it for FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.

The other day, I came across ecomparison, a great website which offers discount codes, cashback, and voucher codes all in one place! Which saves a lot of time searching around on google trying to find various websites..

In the past, i've found myself at online checkouts, with a figure of something similar to £193783 (just about..), but then checked if ecomparison had the correct voucher code, and enjoyed the bonus of having things like 10% off etc! It's a great feeling when you know you can get more money off :') Especially when your mums paying for it.... hahaha

A current vouchercode on at the moment for New Look:

Backtracking the catwalks.. First came fur, then came leather jackets, and now, we're blessed, with aviator jackets. Hot off the catwalk, a la Burberry perfectly present how to wear in my opinion, the nicest and possibly warmest jacket this season.

You can hardly tell the difference, and it's a small fraction of the price of Burberry goodness. I love how fashion evolves.. (like monkeys aha) we had biker-chic, and fur coats, and now the perfect combination of both. Hey - who said you can't have the best of both worlds?

Yes, it's true. Yesterday morning it was confirmed that possibly one of the most exiting collaborations, H&M and French designers Alber Elbaz and Lucas Ossendrijver for Lanvin are joining to create a capsule collection for H&M. Exited, much? It's been a long awaited conformation, but I for one, can definitely say that I'm more exited than a little kid at Christmas for the release of this undoubtedly gorgeous collaboration. Looks will be revealed on November 2nd, a few weeks before the pieces sell out in stores. Following the heavenly status' of Karl Lagerfeld, Comme des Garçons and Jimmy Choo, it's obvious to assume the triumph that is soon to follow!

Hello! Woah, it's been a whole month since I last posted, and about 2 months since I regularly posted. Oooops, my bad. I would just like to say I'M VERY SORRY! I'm definitely back full time now! Along with that, we have a nicer layout (in my opinion anyway, what do you think?), and more appealing posts (minus this one, aha!)

This isn't going to be a very interesting post for you to read, but, a lots changed and will be changing since I last blogged, not that your bothered, but hey..

Oh yeah, also, i'm not sure if I showed you the camera I bought a few months ago, so for all of you that asked, I've started taking my new pictures with the Canon 1000d SLR. It's amazing. If your looking for a reasonably priced SLR, I highly recommend the 1000d! Here is a picture of it, it looks a bit crap because I mirrored it on Photobooth.

Hey guys, what do you think to the new layout? I've decided to go for a more plain and simple look, I've always thought the old one was a bit too busy!

I've shopped a lot in H&M recently, I have a sudden growing love for the shop, it's much cheaper than you imagine! I was curious to see why there were so many sales on in there, and why the sale stock is always updated - because there making way for the stunning A/W collection. This winter it's all about knit, fur, and nude. Look out for camel coats, fur boots and knit tights all making their way onto the shelves this upcoming season, and quite frankly, I can't wait to splurge on it all.

I absolutely adore the coloured knitted scarf and the brown Victorian boots, I might actually buy them as my winter boots! I'm in love with H&M. It's all exiting to see all of the A/W collections this year! Should be blogging about them soon!

Sorry. I really am, I keep meaning to update but I've been so busy this past week it's unbelievable. I've been to parties, BBQ's, worked 3 days this weekend, and also had an induction day at the college I'll be going to in September, it was so nerve wracking but I absolutely love it there, especially the canteen. If you didn't know, I'm taking graphics, photography, art and design, and English language, which I'm buzzing about, I love all of those subjects as hobbies, so to do them for A-Level... I'm over the moon :')

I'm saving up for a Mac computer for when I go to college, so that's going to set me back around £900.. So when I saw the Topshop sale, and then checked how much was in my basket, I now regret spending £89. My bad. On the plus side, I adore the things I got.

Is anyone else a sucker for pretty packaging? I certainly am, I've kept the spotty bag it came in :)

Guess who's back back.. back again, Shadys back.. tell a friend.. Naaaaaah not really, but my exams are practically over, so I'm finally back to doing what I love most. I have ICT on the 21st, and after that, you may see a dim gray cloud slowly covering Britain - the smoke of well-highlighed AQA English anthology's burning - that's right, burn in hell Carol Ann Duffy (not you, that's too mean, your poems). On the whole.. I'd say exams have actually gone okay.. but saying that, I've probably just jinxed it and i'm going to come out with an array of D's - D for darn good? Not quite aha! I hope that all your exams have gone okay, if your 'fortunate enough' to have done any that is..

So, during my absence, quite a bit's happened! My sister got married, it was a lovely day, and she looked gorgeous, then I went to see none other than LADY GAGA and happened to be on the front row, a few meters away from her.. she's so hot. Then I got my hair cut, well I should say half-shaved.. it sounds stupid but I love it! It's in the style of Kimberly Wyatt, and apart from that, I've just been revising, working, and doing other boring things which occupy me.

The other day, I visited a St Luke's hospice fair with my Nannan (she's awesome), and came across some gorgeous floral material for £4 (but i managed to get it for £2), and originally planned on making a dress out of it, but there's so much material, I could make about 836 dresses out of it! Instead, I created a floral with crochet detail crop top which Im in love with! Take a look:

Hello you lovely people. You know how like.. Alton Towers closes down in the winter? And how caterpillars go into cocoons and come out later on, better, prettier, and more exciting? If your in Y11 like myself, you will be experiencing hell :) In short, exams. I love my blog, and i love all of you that read it, i truly do, but i'm going to have to close my blog (short term) until after exams. I will do a fresh new layout, post at least 3 times a week, and i can put much more effort into it. I promise. The title of my blogpost is by Marina and The Diamonds, and if you haven't heard of her (which you probably have) check her out, her voice is so soft yet powerful and different, i just love her. I've had a bit of a mad past 2 weeks, and have spent quite a bit on clothes.. Primark, vintage things.. I haven't got round to taking pictures of the vintage things i bought from COW (vintage store in Sheffield), but i bought 4 items, one of which is this lovely tea dress, which is quite western style aha! I bought it for £2.50.. because a few buttons were missing and stuff, it was in the sale too. At first it looks like it's just come from a grandma's closet (which is probably did) but you have to see the potential in clothes! With my lovely boyfriend holding the dress up ;D

And yeah the pictures are wank because my mum has the camera charger in Egypt with her, so the beauty of the 3.2 megapixel shitty phone is kicking in.. I shortened the dress to about 42cm, it's actually really short though, so i'm thinking cycling shorts underneath? It was the first time i shortened a dress, and was quite pleased :) I wore it out today with the white spotty tights and the horse belt (from the post below). So, in total, my outfit cost.. £7.50! Not bad, i think. I can wear the dress with the sleeves up or down, so it's ideal for summer and winter.

Hello lovelies! The weather has been gorgeous these past 2 days, it's put me in such a good mood! How are you all this weekend? I'm supposed to be in Egypt right? My mum screwed up big time.. She forgot to check if my passport was actually in date, to find it wasn't. Nice one. So, my mums in Egypt and I'm in the 'beautiful' England. Yay.. But, on the plus side of it, it means that i can go into school to get more revision done, which will work out better in the long run. Pretty gutted!

The wonderful wizard of camels.

This will be my last post until i come back from Egypt! I go to Egypt on Tuesday for 2 weeks, so will be back posting on Wednesday 20th April. Hopefully! Happy Easter! I mean, i don't celebrate it, the true meaning of Easter Sunday for me is chocolate and a nice lay in, but that's just me. I forgot it was Easter until my boyfriend Jack rang me up at about 1.30, then I was like SHIT i need to eat my eggs! I'm very sorry for the complete lack of effort that's gone into my blog lately, i feel like ive let it down haha! But, when i'm back from Egypt, i'll be doing a new layout and basically a re-opening, possibly with a giveaway if i manage to get 50 followers before the 20th April! Which means that you lovely people better get clicking away at the followers button ;D I might bring something back from Egypt, or go buy something from Topshop etc. I also had my haircut this week. I personally prefer it short, but my sister's wedding is at the end of May so i have to grow it so i dont look like a complete man in a pink dress haha! Working at 8am tomorrow.. how nice would a lie in be? Yesterday me and Iqrash went shopping to get Matt some clothes. I think we spent about £130 of his money, which isn't too bad! It was so nice to shop for guys, girls clothes can get so.. boring after a while. I managed to pick a few things up though, i mean, who can go shopping with money and not buy anything? My mum, apparently. Here's what i picked up..

Guess where these beauties are from? River Island? Nope! Right, you know that kinda shitty shop.. called Shoe Zone? Like Jonothan James? I saw them in there! For £25! And HAD to have them! There pretty much identical to the River Island workers!

I've lusted over these for about a month, and finally bought them. There from H&M, and cost me £15, not bad i think! They look so expensive, and are definitely one of my best buys for this summer!

I'm totally in love with shoes.. might have bought 7 pairs in the past week.. It's not an addiction, okay!

Alright, if you could do online slaps, i totally deserve one. I'm a shit blogger to be honest haha! Like most of the 15-16year old's in Britain are working REALLY hard, well, or should be (like myself..). It's all a bit crazy with exams, revision, and most teachers basically coming at you with knives. It's not fun at all. Okay, there goes my excuse of an apology!

WHO ELSE IS GOING TO LEEDS FEST?! Me and Katie spent about 3 hours on all the stupid websites trying to buy tickets, and it seemed like everyone apart from us had tickets! A lovely girl who lives round my corner called Lauren had a spare order form up on her computer, so i ran round to hers in my PJ's (sexy i know) with my mums credit card, probably looking a little bit mental. I'm so exited! We got the early bird tickets, and the weekend! GAAAAAAAH!

Alright now the bit that your probably arsed about; Shopping :) I'm going to Egypt in a week! Which means no blogging for 2 weeks, but it does mean an AWESOME tan. Sorry that i haven't posted since Friday! I've been doing MAJOR art commitment. My first 5 hours of my exam starts on Wednesday, in other words.. fuck. On Saturday me and my friend Holly went shopping for a wedding dress. Haha, no, we're not getting married.. she needed it for her art project. We managed to pick one up for £20 which is good - it's kinda victorian vintagey style, it's cute, and we tried it on.. it's not too nice on though haha! Of corse if we're in charity shops, i had to take money. And might of spent a mear £16.50.. but definately worth it. If you read my blog often or are one of my close friends, you will understand that i dont pay more than a fiver for anything, it's too hard. So here's a few things of what i got..

Blurred faces = murderer

The first is a velvet midnight bluey-purple velvet top, i think it's vintage.. either that or really old. I love it! - £1.50, can't go wrong really
Then we have the Monsoon velvet black and gold striped crop top, which i got for £1.75 :)
And Topshop jeans, for £2.00
Last, a gorrgeous Topshop silky dress, for £2.50!

Everything was so cheap because there was a half price sale! The best thing EVER! I got more things too, a couple of River Island tops, a granny lace dress which im going to shorten and jazz up a bit.

Is anyone else as bad as me that they refuse to pay lots of money for things? Hope your all well :) xxxxx

Hello! Wow! 27 comments! Thankyou soooooooooooooooo much! Today was.. boring.. tiring, but then we went round to Amy's house, and had a great time, talked about everything, honestly.. like there's nothing that we didn't talk about aha! I hope your week's been okay, but i can safely say (excuse my erm.. English..) thank fuck its the weekend. I'm really into music at the moment, a few of my favorite artists are Lenka, Adele, Florence & The Machine, Katy Perry, Ellie Goulding, Daisy Dares You, Regina Spektor, Marina and the Diamonds and loaaaads more. I love music, end of! :)

Okay, not sure if anyone remembers aha, but the lovely Couture Carrie hosted a giveaway, which i was lucky enough to win! My necklace arrived, i love it! I googled it so i could check out what other stuff they sold, and noticed that it retailed at $200 :O If you wanna check it out on Pono's website, check the link out here! The necklace is made from opaline resin, and some of their jewelry has 'save the planet' theme which i also really like. A huge thankyou to Carrie, it means so much!

Purple's and lilacs are going to be very big this year, so this necklace is perfect. I think it would look great with a few other wooden/beaded necklaces with a white bikini on the beach.. but we've got to wait for actual summer for that!

Especially in the summer. When its warm, dry, just lightening, is beautiful. Mainly when you run upstairs to your younger brothers room to look out of his roof-window to see it :)

Purple's the new black

Purple is simply gorgeous. I love it! I'm slowly moving towards wearing the rainbow on my lips.. This week i've worn orange, silver, red and now purple! I have 17's (boots makeup range) 'new black' lipstick. Its amazing!

It stays on for hours like it claims.. it's so dark and gothic, it's like fashion in a tube. I went to a party on Friday night, and wore the nude shirt in the post below, teamed it with a highwaisted black skirt, and lots of pearls and gold, with the boots below too. Left my hair natural (curly and really rather crazy), and then messed around with lipstick..
I applied the 'new black' but thought it was a bit too dark, so put a little concealer on to lighten it, and it went a lovely lilac colour!

Here are are a few swatches of the colour..

I mixed them together and got the milky purple on the left, i love it!

Hey guys! Isn't the sky lovely tonight if your in England? Okay so i got like really bored with my old layout, so here we have a spankin' new layout featuring Ms. Allen (the most gorgeous girl ever ever ever). What do you think? I have the old layout saved, so i can swap back if most people prefer the other! :)

So i don't often post pictures of my outfits, but today i wore my boots again, and do you ever have that feeling where you feel ''YES, i have boots on YES im taller than you, YES i feel like a badass''? Yeah, i had that today, so thought i'd share my gossip girl wannabe outfit with you all. Also, my face is blurred because i look like a murder without the lovely pixels helping me out.

So we have the £1 topshop jeans from a carboot sale, the £10.50 boots reduced from £45 (which KILL but i still wanna wear them..), vintage pearls passed down my family, charity shop blazer originally from Marks and Spencer which i got for £4.99, H&M nude shirt which i got for £3 but was originally £15. Basically, all of my clothes are reduced and cheap aha!!

Well, I'm off to a party, should be posting tomorrow :)

I gather we're all in a daze over Alice and Wonderland (released in the UK this Friday 5th March, showing in 3D at selected cinemas). Alice and Wonderland is probably one of the best films, it's so creative and sends me wondering for ages. Thankfully, Tim Burton has created another masterpiece, which im dying to see. All the hype has sent me mad as a hatter!

Left over right, right over left.. I loved them when i was 9, and i love them again. Plaits are big, easy, and practical too. Many celebs such as Peaches Geldof, Thandie Newton and Fearne cotton have all recently sported this chilled boho look

How chilled do they look?! I love it. Wear plaits to accompany vintage floral prints with hard leather, and all we need now is the big ball of fire in the sky. Sorted.

To get 'perfect plaits' for 10', follow these simple rules...
Step 1: Apply a mousse before rough drying to create hold and body.
Step 2: Back-comb the hair for extra body and height with a tail comb.
Step 3: Take small sections of hair over to one side and pin in place at the back of the neck.
Step 4: Interweave the sections to create a tousled look.
Step 5: With the bulk of hair at one side, create a loose, wide plait. Leave three inches at the bottom and secure with a clear band.
Step 6: Use a tail comb to gently pull a few loose strands from the front of your hair so it looks messy.
Step 7: Set in place with hair spray.

Oh if only i had hair long enough. Im stuck with a few inches on my head. I'm growing my hair for my sisters wedding in May, then cutting it short again!

Vibrant lips are Sarah Harding's and many other A-Lister's signature make-up look. She looks stunning with a bright orange pout teamed with bronze eyeshadow, don't you think?

Orange lipstick is cool, quirky, and sexy, and is definitely a must for Summer 2010. I happen to have 'Coral Queen' in Rimmel London's lipstick collection, which has a cool purple case and lasts for ages; i think it set me back about £6, but it's a small price to pay for summer in a stick. I'm thinking either pair with a matching dress a la Sarah Harding, or team it with a quirky stripy tee with stone-washed skinnies, biker boots, and huge pastel sunnies. Summer, here we come.

I'm feeling fairtrade. Whether its chocolate, gifts, or clothes. I found out that the beautiful Emma Watson is now modeling for People Tree - a fairtrade company that sells gorgeous clothing, which is fairtrade, amazing, and most of all - fashionable. Their products are very similar to Topshop, and hey, it goes to a good cause - my new favorite excuse to buy more clothes!

Happy Saturday.. verging on Sunday aha! How are you all? Okay so, if any of you remembered my post on Bumbags? (if you havent seen it, check it out here) No-one seemed to keen? Well, today when i was watching a British morning TV-show called 'This Morning', their fashion section was based mainly around bags - and bumbags fell into that category. Take a look here!

Opinions anyone? I'm swaying towards them... hey - there practical too, and as festival season is approaching... I think I'll be investing!

Sorry! I haven't posted since Wednesday! This is going to be one lonnnnnnnnnng post.

Major catchup over the past week.. if you don't want to read it just scroll to the pictures, it may bore you :)
I've just been snowed under with so much work! Exam piece paper was issued for Art, maths revision, chemistry and physics revision.. Oh the joy of secondary school - yet I only have 9 weeks left of school time.. which is so scary! I hope you all had a lovely valentines day. My boyfriend Jack took me out to Strada in Leopold square in Sheffield, then we went on the Sheffield wheel, then went to go and see Valentines Day at the cinema, which was great, all funded my Jack.. your amazing. I wore the lace dress and borrowed my friend Katie's black blazer from Next. Unfortunately, i forgot to take a picture.. but just picture it haha. Then today, i went to Matalan with my mum in search for some nice things at cheap prices for when we go to Egypt in April. I may possibly be going shopping again tomorrow.. maybe.

Friday 12th February 2010: Heroes and villians party
On Friday, i went to my friend Hannah's 16th birthday party. Everyone had to dress up as either a hero of a villian.. so i chose the one and only.. Mario! Here are a few pictures from the party:

I made my Mario outfit. I wore, Topshop shorts, Accessorize tights, red primark top, blue primark vest, then painted the hat red (it was originally white) and stuck the 'M' on which i drew. The gold buttons are just paper :) I had to scrub the moustache off though! Not good haha!

Hello beautiful people :) How are you all? If you live in (not so sunny) England, aren't you extremely pissed off about how much it keeps snowing? Agh! It should all just go away.. and come back 25th December this year. As i said about my ordering of things from ASOS.. they came today!

I love Accessorize. It's certain to say that they have the most beautiful jewelry ever. And i mean ever. Before, i was never really too fussed about Accessorize, i always thought it was overpriced - until i bought a few things from there.. and realized how amazing the items truly are. In need of a fashion fix, i browsed their website for a few hours (...and then thought that i actually have things to do haha!) and made a collage of their prettiest pendants.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh, 'love at first sight' is definitely true. I love the 'i love you' envelope (my friend Phoebe has this), the ring and lipstick one, and the NY one. But then again, i love them all. Wow, i overused the word 'love'. I do though. Ruth loves it fucking all hahaha!

Grab em' while you can to welcome the summer with open arms. Pair any with a baggy tee, shorts and gladiator sandals. Instant summer success.

Take a trip to the English countryside with 'Meadow'. Mix faded denim with delicate florals and billowing chiffons to get the season's prettiest look - Topshop.

I created this moodboard from Topshops latest collection - Meadow. I love it. It's so pretty, flowly, and feminine - all of which are totally in this season. My personal favorites are the material bangle, the straw hat, leather bag, denim jacket & sunglasses. I'm going to need some of these things - or similar, prefrably cheaper.. and vintage.. yeah, that would do the trick for me. I'm bursting for summer to finally arrive, after a long, cold winter. But hey - i'm off to Egypt for 2 weeks in April :) Yaaaaaaaaay, but no blog posts! :( Also, i ordered a few things from ASOS. I'll post when they arrive!

Hey guess what. It snowed. AGAIN. Please, oh please tell me why? I've been slipping around like Bambi all day.. with wet feet because my stupid shoes aren't the most waterproof aha! Oh yay for winter. Not.

Also, i had my 2nd dose of the cervical cancer jab today, and yet again.. i cried... like a 3year old. Jabs are the only thing i'm scared of in the whole world! I'd rather have a snake wrapped around my body than have a jab. 2 down, 1 to go. But on the plus side, i'm getting protected against cervical cancer so i cant really complain. Cancer or jab? Hmm, i choose jab. I'd still choose snake though. Just to let you all know.. It doesn't hurt! Just a small prick in your arm but that's all, the pain a few hours after isn't so fun though.
